Our mission is for every workplace lunch experience to go hand in hand with a sustainable approach to food, people, and the environment. It is estimated that the food industry as a whole accounts for roughly a quarter of global CO₂ emissions, and at LOCA Kantiner, we believe that everyone working with food has a responsibility to consider where they can make a difference.
But for us, sustainability isn’t just about where the carrots are grown or that the fish is caught responsibly—it’s also about ensuring that our chefs and staff work under conditions we can be proud of. At LOCA, we put action behind our words

Around the world, the food industry has long contributed to a range of human-made problems, and the time has come for gastronomy to become part of the solution to these global challenges. At LOCA Kantiner, we therefore work with gastronomic sustainability—not as a goal in itself, but as a necessity in the world we are part of.
We set concrete targets across food, people, organization, partnerships, and global responsibility. We know we cannot do everything—but we take responsibility for what we can and strive to do it as well as possible.
Our work is anchored in the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and inspired by them, we have developed our own 17 LOCA Goals. These 17 goals collectively show where, why, and how we aim to contribute in a concrete way to a more sustainable future.
