Sustainability has become a buzzword – especially in the restaurant and food industry, where many now claim to work sustainably. We welcome this focus, but we also believe that simply stating your intentions is not enough. We want to be able to prove it.
“As the saying goes, ‘If you can measure it, you can manage it.’” That is why we are proud to present LOCA’s Sustainability Report.

OUR THOUGHTS

In this report, we have measured and analyzed all purchases for our restaurants to get a precise picture of our total CO₂ footprint – and to understand what we can do to reduce it going forward.

The report also includes data and insights on our use of local ingredients, our degree of organic sourcing, and our commitment to animal welfare – areas we are excited to continue developing in our kitchens and operations.

For us, sustainability is not just about choosing the right ingredients, following the seasons, and minimizing food waste. Human sustainability is an equally important part of the story we stand for. That is why the report also highlights all our initiatives related to staff care and wellbeing at LOCA. If the restaurant industry is to attract and retain the right people in the future, it requires addressing outdated traditions and cultures that drive talent away from the profession. In this area, too, LOCA aims to set a higher standard and be best in class.
